KSSEM management quota admission is the direct route into K S School of Engineering and Management, a VTU affiliated college off Kanakapura Road in South Bangalore. KSSEM started in 2010 and holds NBA accreditation for four of its B.E. programmes. If your KCET or COMEDK rank did not land you the branch you wanted, this guide walks you through the branches, eligibility, documents and process for the 2027 intake.
KSSEM and KSIT Are Two Different Colleges
This is the most common mix-up we see. K S School of Engineering and Management (KSSEM) and K S Institute of Technology (KSIT) both belong to the Kammavari Sangham group and both sit on the Kanakapura Road side of the city, but they are separate colleges with their own campuses, branch lists and admission desks. This page covers KSSEM only. If you are looking for the other college, read our separate guide on KSIT Bangalore management quota.

How Management Seats Work at KSSEM
Most B.E. seats at KSSEM are filled through KEA (KCET) and COMEDK counselling. A smaller share forms the management quota, which the college fills directly under Karnataka Higher Education Department rules. Students who come in this way sit in the same classes, write the same VTU exams and graduate with the same degree. For a plain explanation of the system, see our guide to management quota admission in Bangalore.
The Six B.E. Branches at KSSEM
| Branch | Good fit if you |
|---|---|
| Computer Science and Engineering | Want a solid, general base in programming and systems |
| Artificial Intelligence and Data Science | Enjoy data, statistics and building predictive models |
| Computer Science and Business Systems | Want computing combined with business and management subjects |
| Electronics and Communication Engineering | Are curious about circuits, embedded systems and communication |
| Mechanical Engineering | Like design, thermal systems and manufacturing |
| Civil Engineering | Want to build roads, buildings and infrastructure |
The list is short, and that is part of the appeal. Four of the six branches carry NBA accreditation, so whichever core stream you pick, it has been through an outside quality review. Computer Science and Business Systems is the newer option and suits students who see themselves in tech consulting or product roles. Our guide on how to choose the right engineering branch in Bangalore can help you weigh it against CSE.
