Basic documents for every route
- Class 10 (SSLC) marks card, which also serves as date of birth proof.
- Class 12 (2nd PUC) marks card.
- Transfer certificate from the last institution.
- Aadhaar card or another government photo ID.
- Recent passport size photographs.
- Migration certificate, if you studied Class 12 outside the Karnataka state board.
KCET counselling and document verification
KCET candidates go through document verification before they can enter options. Along with the basic documents, keep these ready:
- KCET admission ticket and rank details.
- Study certificate, signed by the school heads, to support your Karnataka eligibility claim.
- Caste and income certificates from the competent authority, such as the Tahsildar, if you claim reservation.
- Kannada medium certificate, if you claim that benefit.
- Rural study certificate, if you claim rural candidate status.

- Follow up on migration. CBSE, ICSE and other state board students should request the migration certificate early.
