Admission in Aerospace Branch in B.M.S College of Engineering
The Department of Aerospace Engineering is the second youngest branch of B. M. S. College of Engineering established in 2018. The department has fostered excellence in undergraduate education while advancing research that pushes the boundaries of aeronautical and astronautical engineering.
It focuses on teaching and research on rotorcraft, autonomous systems, space systems, and unmanned vehicles for driving the powerful insights and innovations needed to take on today’s most complex engineering challenges.
Department Profile
The department is bridging the gap between industry and institute. Currently, it has 9 faculty members with educational background from Indian reputed institutes such as IITs and IISc. The faculties also have rich industrial research background; some of them have served large automotive and aerospace multinational OEMs for decades

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEO1 | Graduates will have theoretical and experimental knowledge in different disciplines of aerospace engineering with practical skillset along with the knowledge of modern engineering tools to address real world problems encompassing functional safety, cost effectiveness and sustainability combined with social responsibility. |
PEO2 | Graduates shall be successful in their career as aerospace engineers participating in a team or working individually in an industry, research or academia. |
PEO3 | Graduates shall be proficient in their communication, presentation and shall be prepared to engage in the process of life-long learning through professional development and research. |
Programme Specific Objectives (PSOs)
PSO1 | Apply their subject knowledge in the domain of Aerodynamics, Flight mechanics, Avionic systems and Propulsion to solve real world problems utilizing advanced technology. |
PSO2 | Develop new ideas in the field of aerospace engineering and maintenance practices with the knowledge of mechanics, materials, manufacturing and maintenance along with the help of modern CAD/CAM/CAE tools. |
